We assembled people from a broad range of backgrounds, and we prioritize diversity of expertise because of the nature of our work. Lawyers, economists, sociologists, journalists, scientists, researchers, business administrators, and policy analysts with experience that spans government, nonprofits, and private sector. Our leaders are guided by our mission for Africa—one country at a time and a continent with implementation of progressive public policies that offer opportunity of a healthy, productive life for every person. We are governed by a board of trustees and advisory board who act to guide DACA on its mission, operations, and financial planning. Their diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and expertise are invaluable to our achievements.
